Meet Skye
Skye is the Managing Director and Lead Consultant at Virtual HR Partners. Since founding the business in 2020, she brings over ten years of experience in Human Resources and Recruitment, working across various blue and white-collar industries in Australia, the UK and Europe.
In addition to a Bachelor of Psychology, Skye holds a Master's in Human Resource Management and International Business, equipping her with a unique blend of expertise to deliver strategic HR solutions globally.
The Story
When the pandemic first struck, Skye was based in London, working on a $4bn infrastructure project for one of Europe’s largest construction companies. As the world shifted to remote work, her team adapted quickly to ensure the project kept moving forward. Despite the challenges, they successfully managed HR issues, recruited new talent, and onboarded remote employees—proving that work could continue even in unprecedented times.
The global pandemic became a turning point for remote and virtual work, showing that not everything requires face-to-face interaction in an office. Today, many of the world’s largest organisations are embracing virtual-only roles. While not everything can be done remotely, when it can, it’s often more productive and cost-effective.
